đ The Challenge
Tech Marathon 11 was more than just a coding event â it was a test of creativity, collaboration, and endurance. The 24-hour hackathon-style competition brought together tech enthusiasts from MCA Semester - IV and BCA Semester - VI.
Our team of four eagerly entered this thrilling experience with one goal in mind: learn, create, and grow â regardless of the final standings.
đŻ Problem Statement: Grih Utpaad
At 9:00 AM on April 9, the challenge was revealed â âGrih Utpaadâ, a powerful initiative aimed at promoting women empowerment through technology.
đ What Was âGrih Utpaadâ?
âGrih Utpaadâ is envisioned as a digital web platform exclusively for female householders, designed to help them transform their skills into entrepreneurial ventures.
đ Key Objectives:
Help women discover and showcase their talents
Empower them to monetize their skills and become self-reliant
Facilitate a digital marketplace where consumers can purchase their products or services
đĽ Three Main User Roles:
Web Master â Full control over platform activities, reports, and user management
Female Householders â Upload and manage their offerings (products/services)
Consumers â Browse, purchase, rate, and review
𧊠Project Milestones
We were provided with structured milestones to build the prototype progressively:
Milestone 1: Basic Functionality
Web Master: Manage product/skill listings
Female Householders: Post products/services with details
Consumers: Browse and buy items or services
Milestone 2: Order & Rating System
Dashboards for tracking orders, fulfillment, and reviews
Consumers can rate and review services/products
Milestone 3: Reporting & Analytics
Generate detailed reports: product performance, revenue, order stats, consumer behavior
Advanced filtering and data-driven insights
đ Our 24-Hour Schedule
We worked tirelessly following the planned timeline:
9:30 AMÂ â Coding began with full force
5:30 PMÂ â Refreshments kept our energy up
8:00 PMÂ â Dinner break, followed by some midnight tea sessions
7:00 AM (10th April)Â â A heavy breakfast and a final push to the finish line
đĄ What We Learned
Though we didn't secure a top spot, the experience was truly transformative:
Built a complete prototype in just 24 hours under real-world constraints
Understood the power of team synergy, especially during late-night brainstorming
Learned how to work with real-life problem statements that have a social impact
Improved our UI/UX design skills, API handling, and dashboard development
đ Gratitude
Weâd like to extend heartfelt thanks to:
LiveWire Technical Club for organizing such a high-impact event
Our mentors and technical support team for being available round the clock
All fellow participants who made this competition full of enthusiasm and learning
đ Final Thoughts
Participating in Tech Marathon 11Â was a journey filled with excitement, late-night codes, creative ideas, and meaningful insights. While we didnât make it to the winnersâ podium, we walked away with something far more valuable â knowledge, experience, and inspiration to keep innovating.
We look forward to more such marathons that challenge us to grow, build for impact, and empower communities through technology.
